im just curious to know if that works or not cause i just purchased a hand me down ibookg4 and im havin the same problem as the other person,i cant get in cause there is an administrator password

Here’s how to reset your OS X password without an OS X CD. You need to enter terminal and create a new admin account:

1. Reboot
2. Hold apple + s down after you hear the chime.
3. When you get text prompt enter in these terminal commands to create a brand new admin account (write these) :
* mount -uw /
* rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone
* shutdown -h now
4. After rebooting you should have a brand new admin account. When you login as the new admin you can simply delete the old one and you’re good to go again!

This is true that many a time sthe refurbished computers are those that haev only a broken seal otherwise tyhey are as new as good.

my question is when the mac book wheel have no key board it will make you hard to understand and make you slower in typing messages or a word yes or not because it have no key board suppose you will hard to type you must roll and roll the mac book wheel and hard to understand all.. there what is the difference with keyboard..

I am trying to update an iBooks G3 clamshell 366 with 320 mb of RAM. It seems to be having a lot of problems. I am not sure if it is the hard drive or the age of the computer that is the problem. At the point that I am writing this e-mail I have tried several things. The installation says that it has 10 minutes left. The installation is on loading different print drivers. Every thing seems to be ok. I have loaded other macs from my fire Maddog DVD burner. Hopefully it works.

I like how other notebooks u can pull the battery out and macbooks you have to send it in so they can crack it open and put in a new one of course with labor fees Added to the original new battery price.
