what's the differences between ibook and powerbook?

im planning to get either an ibook or powerbook G4 for music production. can someone tell me what the main differences are between them concerning music production as i don't know much about apple computers. thanks!

The iBook is/was for students and had a slower G4 chip in it. It was cheaper than the PowerBook. The PowerBook was for professionals and had a faster G4 chip, bigger HD and cost more.

Apple stopped making both after October 2005. You would be better off getting a MacBook or MacBook Pro which both run Intel Chips

ibook is the predecessor of the MacBook.

the PowerBook G4 is the predecessor of the MacBook Pro.

So if you want to professionally produce music, then you should definitely get the PowerBook G4.
