I just purchased an apple iBook G3 that does not come with an internal combo drive, but instead just a cd drive. I am wanting to have the ablity to play DVDs, so I need that combo drive. I see some sites have them for sale, the combo drives - How difficult would it be to install for a middle-tech-savy person?
Combo drives were originally included in build to order models by Apple (on 14" models only, nothing else). The website below ranks installation as difficult. The site below has installation instructions.
