the bars on the top don’t measure your range, it measures how fast your connectivity is to your router, if you alt click on the airport icon in the taskbar, you’ll see a Rssi and a transmit rate, one of them is the range from your router.

I upgraded an …
I upgraded an imacG3 about 6 months ago, put 1gig of ram in it, airport card and a new drive - I didn’t bother with a DVD drive. The problem was putting Tiger on it since it didn’t have any firewire ports, but I managed to source Tiger on CD. I have it in my living room on my wireless network. Surprisingly it runs pretty fast, great for surfing the net. Anyway, great video. Cheers
