    You really don’t …
You really don’t know what you are talking about half the time. I can’t believe i just listened to all of that. It is meant to be a small computer to be totally wireless. And what you say about waiting until the price comes down is STUPID!!! You can’t wait with a computer. You wait and then you get the one that is advanced then you find it is actually an old computer now. You always have to be on top, and with the air it will always be advancing because it is new. Then it will cost MORE!!!

    The only problem I …
The only problem I have is that the AIR has an illuminated keyboard while the Macbook doesn’t have that OR a multi-touch trackpad.

    I think this is …
I think this is going to be successful simply because nobody can compete with it when size and power is a factor. They have no competition in this area!

    I wish my macbook …
I wish my macbook pro had the power and even limitations of this machine if I could get the size. Even at my school I don’t even use physical disks. Any software that I need I just download and use the .iso. Once Apple gets more power into these things they are going to be everywhere. CD’s are in the past, and Apple is genius enough to see it.

    You don’t get it. …
You don’t get it. Looks and physical use are everything. Apple is literally changing the way everyone who has a macbook air will use their laptop. It may work it may not, but it will force them to not be so dependent on non-needed things. I think its going to work out great. I mean in the future do you see yourself plugged in with 20 ports on your laptop, or a thin 70 sheet notebook like computer that does everything wirelessly wherever you go.

    not for a college …
not for a college student who’s shoulder is freakin hurting from those fat HP’s and VAIO’s and dont need a computer with ALOT of power. get a macbook pro or macbook if you want power. i’d love one, even my macbook pro gets heavy sometimes. and everyone already has a desktop computer at home, so the optical drive being gone-who cares?

    I don’t know if …
I don’t know if this has already been posted…but I wonder since they are using the ‘ipod’ hard drives if 4200 rpm would be faster than we think..since it has a smaller diamater than normal hard drives…

    I don’t think that …
I don’t think that it’s a matter of people not wanting thinner laptops, but one of Apple releasing a specialized product that pre-Macworld everyone expected to be created for the same broad customer base as their other two laptops. and it clearly wasn’t. there are similarly thin laptops with more options (more ports, optical drive, etc.) than the MBA, but they don’t have nearly as much “wow” appeal…

    Dude, it doesn’t …
Dude, it doesn’t matter what it looks like, its overpriced as hell, its got no optical drive, one USB, no firewire… The minuses outweigh the positives. Although I do see Apple trying to innovate like they did with the orignal iMac’s, not having a floppy disc… Maybe this is Apple trying to say the optical drive is outdated? Broadband connections are so fast now software etc shouldn’t need to be distributed on optical media anymore… Alex.

    SSD is not that …
SSD is not that fast, and won’t notice it in a near-laptop like the MacBook Air. I wouldn’t buy that thing if you paid me. I do think Apple is going to have a loser product here. There are headlines out there where people are not impressed because it has so many cons and very little pros. Turns out that people don’t really want thinner laptops.

    Its just the price, …
Its just the price, SSD is fast and great and all but if it was less money i would defiantly jump on it. Maybe in a year apple will refine the Air and maybe add the possibility to have both ?? perhaps? how much space can a another SSD drive take up?

    Yeah but I really …
Yeah but I really can’t make my mind up on it, I love it and I don’t if you know what I mean. If you go for the 80GB you have to live with 4200 rpm, or pay the premium for the SSD. Danny

    Hey man, great …
Hey man, great video! I totally agree with you on everything you said here. Personally I think Apple introduced the SSD configuration too early. But like you said, prices WILL come down.

    And yeah, who cares …
And yeah, who cares what your friends think? I have an Archos 604 Wifi MP3 player instead of an iPod, and it’s about the thickness of 2 ipods stacked up. When people say “that’s huge!” I just say “thank you.” I really couldn’t care less. My Archos is better than their iPod, and I know it, and that’s all that matters. Just using that as an example.

    Well, yeah, when …
Well, yeah, when newer technologies become older, prices come down, it’s like that way for everything.

Why does it bother you whether or not we purchase a SSD now or wait for the price to drop? It’s not your money. $1000 is actually a decent price for a 64 GB SSD these days. It’s both the insane speed and the lower power consumption of an SSD that justifies the price.

    I Think You’re …
I Think You’re Wrong About The Drive Tbh.
I Know You Need Space But Really That Laptop Isn’t Designed For Really Big Apps.
It’s For WebBrowsing And The Occasional Word Processing.
Sorry To Be Negative To Your Video. Haha.
