This is my Apple Refurbished Macbook. I wanted to show you what you’d get
when you buy a refurbished laptop from Apple. Things you’d find include are accessories, cables, manuals, packaging and notebook. I hope this video helps.

Great video! I think I’ll buy a refurbished Mac. Two questions, though…

Do all of them come with the apple remote? I know if you buy a brand spankin’ new Mac, it doesn’t include the remote anymore. You have to buy it. Do all of the Refurbished Macs come with the remote? That’d be pretty cool.

Also, when you turn it on, does it do the whole “Welcome” thing in all of the different languages(Or whatever startup video that Tiger has, since it came with that and not Leopard?)

    Thanks a bunch!

    good question, my …
good question, my best guess would be probably no… the refurbished macbook at apple is certified they will provide all standard warranty for it.. most of the refurbished macs are probably not that old.. they’re probably returned after few days, model units or demo units… so they are really very slightly used so apple is willing to put a full warranty on it as for old ones like yours… probably not.

    from my …
from my understanding refurbished could mean a couple of things. it could mean that a consumer found something wrong it and returned it. or it could mean a problem was detected during production or assembly and the product was never shipped.

apple then goes and replaces whatever was wrong, fixes it, thoroughly tests it, and restores it to full functionality. it’s like a brand new machine, shipped w/o the fancy packaging.

    A lot of these …
A lot of these refurbished Apple products were actually store demos, so they’re like new. I got a refurbished Macbook that was throughly inspected and looked just like a brand new item. The money I saved actually bought me a 3-year warranty through AppleCare. So unless you want the OEM Macbook cardboard box, these refurbished Macbooks are a no-brainer.

This is true that many a time sthe refurbished computers are those that haev only a broken seal otherwise tyhey are as new as good.
